[Photo: kccb.org]Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) Chairman Bishop Alfred Rotich has called on Jubilee and NASA to obey the ruling by Supreme Court in its entirety.Rotich has said that the two rivals should not only quote and obey the ruling where it seems to favour them and ignore where it doesn't. He also said there is a need that there be a ceasefire between the two competing political divides to allow Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) conduct the repeat presidential election slated for October 26."As the Church, we have and we continue to reach out to political parties asking them to dialogue. There is a huge split which we do not want anymore," Rotich told Citizen TV's on Monday Special programme. He noted that IEBC is a competent institution which should be left to do its work saying it was regrettable to see people going to the streets to violently show their frustrations and anger when there was an option for dialogue. On his part, Political Analyst Dr Alutalala Mukhwana appreciated the church's role in bringing sanity through dialogue and preaching peace."Earlier in a different forum I had lamented that the church had abandoned us because the church was left to be the torch-bearer in the fight for freedom. I am happy that the church is waking up to its true calling. At this time, anyone but a politician acts with sobriety. We need the church," Mukhwana said.He agreed with the bishop that the best way to sort out the anger in the country is by having dialogue and leaving IEBC to do its work.Mukhwana, however, called upon the IEBC to 'pull up its socks' saying there were reasons the election was nullified.
