Clashes between NASA and Jubilee youths have been reported on Wednesday in Ogembo town Kisii county during a campaign.
According to eye witnesses at the Ogembo town rally, trouble began when pro Jubilee youths backing Kitutu Chache South MP aspirant Mr Anthony Kibangendi showed up in the area that is a perceived NASA stronghold. The NASA batallion came in demanding that the vacate the area immediately.
Pro-NASA youths threw stones at the Jubilee campaign caravan. No injuries were reported.
“We are not going to be cowed by goons paid to disrupt our peaceful campaigns,” Kibagendi said.
“We are not going to take any chances in the remaining few days. We are going to move across the county to ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto are re-elected. No one should stop us," he added.
Kibagendi was once top Raila campaigner on Saturday political show on Radio Jambo but jumped shipped to Jubilee after falling in what he termed as shambolic ODM primaries.
