The National Super Alliance (NASA) co-principals have agreed on how to form government if the win the August election.
The opposition leaders have agreed to form a five-year transitional government.
The principal who will be the flag bearer in 2017 will not be allowed to vie in 2022.
He will be expected to give full support one of the other co-principals.
A close ally to Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi said the agreement among the Pentagon members was to address mistakes made by the Jubilee administration.
“NASA will focus on empowering wananchi, uniting people and building the nation,” Lugari Member of Parliament Ayub Savula said, as quoted by The Star.
The NASA team has reportedly divided the Cabinet Ministries into three - the productive economy, public service, and infrastructure development.
Another plan the opposition leaders have is to audit assets, liabilities, come up with plans to manage debt and strengthen government institutions.
Last week, the NASA leaders said they will unveil their line up on Thursday, April 27 to face Jubilee’s President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President Wiliam Ruto.
The search for a flag bearer has been a daunting task for the National Coordinating Committee (NCC) and the Technical Committee, which were formed to identify the strongest line up to take on Jubilee come August.
The opposition was at some point threatened by hard stand by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, who had insisted he must vie for President.
Raila Odinga, Moses Wetangula, Isaac Ruto, Kalonzo Musyoka and Mudavadi met on Monday for three hours and resolved to stick together and work as a team.
NASA is targeting 16 million voters out of the 19 million registered by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
