Politicians allied to the National Super Alliance (NASA) have been asked to stop engaging in talks and actions that may plunge the country into anarchy.
Former Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker Isaac Terer says there's need for the opposition leaders to accept the will of the people and allow the country to move forward.
Speaking in Eldoret on Thursday, Terer who unsuccessfully vied for the Kesses Parliamentary seat in the August 8 general elections accused the opposition chief Raila Odinga of being power hungry.
"We will not allow one person who is hungry for political power to scuttle our country's economic and development progress," Terer said.
"As leaders in Uasin Gishu county we want to make Jr clear that we will not allow one person to divide Kenya and cause anarchy," he added.
The former county Assembly Speaker further asked Kenyans to continue living together in peace and harmony and shun selfish politicians out to divide them on tribal lines.
