Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has hit out at NASA leaders alleging a plot by the opposition to make Kenyans refugees.

Mutua claims that NASA's  daily anti-IEBC protests are a ploy for civil war.

Speaking when he hosted president Uhuru Kenyatta's  Jubilee Party in Masii, Mwala constituency in Machakos on Monday, Mutua said that civil wars start with violent demonstrations.

"What we are witnessing in Kenya where some leaders are calling for endless demonstrations and making "either or" demands are the foundation for civil war. If we let these leaders continue, we may end up being refugees in Uganda, Somalia and South Sudan," Mutua said on Monday.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) party leader asked NASA leaders to reconsider their call for daily demonstrations and follow the law.

Mutua said that the law is clear on what NASA should do in their quest for electoral reforms.

The Machakos county boss also asked NASA top leaders to give peace a chance and preach unity among their supporters.

Meanwhile, the governor has predicted a landslide victory for President Uhuru Kenyatta in the October 26 repeat presidential election.

Mutua said that Uhuru will win because he has been busy campaigning since the day the Supreme court nullified the August 8 presidential election.

"President Kenyatta will win by a huge margin because he has been campaigning while the other team has not been campaigning and has chosen to issue press statements and make overseas visits,'' he said.

Mutua assured UhuRuto that they will garner majority of Ukambani votes in the repeat election saying that the region can no longer be misled to remain in opposition.
