Nasa leaders on Wednesday renamed Nairobi’s recreational park, Uhuru Park to Raila Odinga Grounds.
Led by James Orengo, the opposition leaders said they are irritated every time they mention Uhuru's name when referring to the grounds.Nasa has been using the grounds as their assembly point during the anti-Chiloba protests.”Everywhere we go, Uhuru is being mentioned. So, from today as well as during our demonstrations, this park will be known as Raila Odinga Park. And so on Friday, we will meet at the Raila Odinga Park,” Orengo told the crowd.The opposition will from Monday, 16 October hold demonstrations on a daily basis.On Wednesday, protests were held in Kisumu, Nairobi, Siaya.In Kisumu, 17 people were injured in running battles with police.
