Wajir women representative Fatuma Gedi and her Kirinyaga counterpart Wangui Ngirichi have called upon NASA leaders to respect and uphold the constitution and allow the duly elected president and deputy complete their development agenda.
The two leaders said the opposition should give President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto space to serve Kenyans.
Speaking during a free medical camp sponsored by Ngirichi and sons Rescue team at Kianjege west Primary school in Ndia constituency Kirinyaga county, Wangui said that no one is above the law and all Kenyans must respect and uphold the constitution.
Wangui said that the opposition should play their role in checking on the executive and allow Jubilee leadership to run the affairs of the country the mandate they have entrusted to them by Kenyans.
Wangui said that Raila Odinga is trying to assume the functions of the President Uhuru who was duly elected by Kenyans and he should wait for 2022 accusing him of trying to create tension in the country through an unlawful act.
She called on the government to deal with those opposition leaders who are violating constitution adding that no one should be spared irrespective of their positions or political muscle in the country.
On her part, Fatuma Gedi said that the country needs gallant leaders who can face the challenges of the country head on but not coward leaders like Kalonzo, Mudavadi, and Wetangula who abandoned Raila Odinga at the hour of need.
She said that such leaders cannot lead and Kenyans cannot entrust them with the leadership of-of the country since they betrayed Raila after they skipped the said ‘swearing in’ ceremony at Uhuru Park.
Fatuma said that the country has one President and the opposition leaders should respect that fact and wait for the President to serve his term as per the constitution.
She said that Kenyans must give President Kenyatta a chance to continue with his mandate until 2022 when the country will be going for another general election.
