Top NASA leaders could be arrested by the police and subsequently charged with incitement ahead of planned swearing-in of Raila Odinga on December 12th.
At Kisumu on Monday, Odinga claimed that more leaders could be subjected to police intimidation for opposition Jubilee administration.
“David Ndii is not the last NASA leader to be arrested. We are set to see more of such even before Jamuhuri Day,” an agitated Odinga said.
Ndii, a top economist and adviser of NASA was released on police bond following his controversial arrest on Sunday.
“Jubilee critics are not given fair hearing as stipulated in the law. We shall not allow such arbitrary apprehensions by the state,” said lawyer Otiende Amollo.
Among those targeted are Simba Arati [Dagoretti South), Babu Owino (Embakasi East), Antony Oluoch (Mathare), Gladys Wanga (Homa Bay), Johnstone Muthama, Norman Magaya and Edwin Sifuna.
Others who risks arrest are Tom Kajwang, Mishi Mboko, Opiyo Wandayi, Oduor Ongwen and Philip Etale.
A fortnight ago, police besieged Simba Arati’s Nairobi home in what NASA believes was a plan to sabotage a rally that was to take place at Jacaranda grounds.
