Jubilee party leadership has been challenged to be on the alert lest they let their own legislation open Statehouse doors for the opposition to take over leadership of the country.

Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala has sent an alert call to Jubilee indicating that Raila could be a beneficiary of the same laws Jubilee had passed at a time opposition parliamentarians had boycotted house business recently.

In a mockery of President Kenyatta’s victory in the repeat presidential election held in October, the senator told youth he addressed in Kakamega that if one runs alone, they will always think of having super speeds and that no one would defeat them on track.

Mr. Malala termed the Jubilee party amendments to election laws as a double edged sword with the potential to harm both political sides, warning that the same could be used to hand Raila power.

“Jubilee’s actions are dangerous to leadership. Some of their decisions are out of anger and would cost them dearly, how would you rush to summon appeal court judges at night to overturn a judgment made by their colleague?” posed Malala.

The senator was referring to findings of the high court concerning IEBC staff that conducted the repeat polls and discouraged Jubilee from opting for a shortcut to a have President Kenyatta for another term as it will be against the will of a majority of Kenyans.

“We will keep this rogue government on toes. I assure you that what Jubilee lawyers are advising the government does not make any sense legally. They will be surprised because it looks like they have just forgotten what they recently passed in parliament in our absence to allow any judge swears in the president. We will remind them the same at the right time,” cautioned Malala.
