Okach says that NASA is trying to put together a strong evidence that will justify their allegations that the just concluded electoral process was a sham.

“NASA had written to the IEBC requesting for the forms 34A and 34Bs but the CEO Ezra Chiloba said the forms are still unavailable and they will be unveiled to them at an appropriate time”

“From the judgment made by the Supreme Court in 2013, I believe the opposition are trying to collect all the relevant evidence that will ensure a successful petition,”

The NASA brigadier had earlier ruled out any possibility of going to court to challenge Kenyatta’s re-election as president but Okach says the coalition can reconsider the decision.

He reiterates that the intention of other non-governmental organizations to go to court and challenge the election results may also see the opposition coalition join the process as an interested party.

The coalition’s flag bearer Raila Odinga was today scheduled to deliver a statement on the way forward owing to the unrest being witnessed in the coalition’s strongholds but his co-principle Musalia Mudavadi said the address is rescheduled for tomorrow.

Any presidential petition can only be considered if it is filed within seven days after the declaration of results.
