[Photo: k24tv.co.ke]The Nasa coalition is so preoccupied with amending the constitution to dish out positions among its five principals to extent that in the event of a victory, everything else will take a backseat till the balance of power sharing among the five principals is achieved.Lawyer and political analyst Ambrose Weda has said that Nasa's manifesto which was launched on Tuesday, is just a scheme to hoodwink Kenyans as the coalition's sole agenda is 'power.'"NASA's immense obsession with power will see to it that the first thing that they do on assuming office if they are lucky enough, will be to amend the constitution to give jobs to Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Isaac Ruto. I am worried they might spend the first 100 days still sharing power," said Weda on Tuesday.Weda, who was speaking on K24 TV during the 9pm news bulletin, also noted that many items in Nasa's manifesto requires constitutional changes. He cited things like devolving state security, secondary education among others as some of NASA's plans that require constitutional amendments."The constitution spelt clearly on what required to be devolved because most of these things they are talking about belongs to the national government. But it is clear what they are after with these constitutional changes. Power. I say so because I know they will include the changes that will give jobs to the three principals," he added.Weda also termed NASA's promise of offering free secondary education starting from September as a 'mirage'.
