Mavoko MP Patrick Makau has rubbished police warning ahead of tomorrow's Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka's swearing-in at Uhuru Park.

Makau says that police have no authority to stop Raila’s swearing that is legally recognized by the constitution.

Speaking to journalists at his Mavoko office on Sunday, the Wiper MP said that they will not be intimidated or stopped by police warning.

The Wiper MP rubbished Nairobi police boss Japheth Koome warning terming it an empty threat. “Koome and others planning to frustrate Raila and Kalonzo's swearing-in should know that they cannot stop the people’s power,” he said.

The MP said that they are determined to swear in Raila and Kalonzo as the people’s president and deputy respectively.

“We will march to Uhuru Park and administer the oath to Raila and Kalonzo and let police know that they cannot stop us unless they kill all of us,” he said.

The MP asked NASA supporters to be firm and turn out in large numbers to witness Raila oath-taking.

Makau said that NASA's swearing in will be peaceful contrary to police claims of violence.

On Sunday,  Koome sent a stern warning to NASA leaders and supporters saying that they will not be allowed to access Uhuru Park.

Koome said that Uhuru park remains closed as earlier indicated by the Nairobi county government.

NASA has insisted on swearing in Raila and Kalonzo as the people’s president tomorrow even as the government terms the planned coronation illegal and highly treasonous.
