[Photo: NMG]A NASA MP has hailed President Uhuru Kenyatta's 'the big four' plans which he said during Jamhuri Day celebrations on Tuesday, will be his main focus in the next five years.Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka says that the the President's four agendas are what Kenya needs if only implemented."The agenda that the President has on facilitating industrialization and creating low-income housing for Kenyans is okay," Onyonka says via an opinion piece on the Wednesday Star.Onyonka, however, reminds Uhuru that there are certain things pertaining to the economy of the country that are not delivering 'the results that we require'."If you live around Kileleshwa and Lavington, you will see so many people tarmacking every day to the Industrial Area. Uhuru needs to look at options on what needs to be done, especially here in Nairobi," he adds.He notes that low-income earning Kenyans are 'really hurting because if you sit down with individuals and listen to their complaints about the price of goods, you would realize that things are really tough for them'.On the national dialogue, he hopes that President Kenyatta will take it upon himself to ensure that he negotiates with the Opposition. "I believe the negotiations should be structured, like he has said before, and let him be honest about it. The issues that the opposition is raising are genuine and legitimate and cannot be put under the rug. He makes frequent statements about bringing Kenyans together. If he wants to hold meetings with NASA leader Raila Odinga and his team, there is nothing wrong about it," Onyonka writes. The MP says that Uhuru's legacy will be based on how united or divided he will leave the country.
