Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga has called on the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the death of scores of NASA supporters in the recent weeks.

Speaking to the press on Wednesday, the lawmaker blasted the police for using excessive force on NASA supporters during Opposition leader Raila Odinga's grand return from abroad.

Odinga's supporters matched to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to welcome the NASA leader.

The welcome party, however, turned chaotic, as police officers blocked the supporters from accessing the airport.

The scuffles led to the death of at least five people, in what the Opposition has termed as "a genocide."

"It is a genocide and we asking ICC to come in," Wanga said.

"A pattern of ethnic cleansing is emerging against the Luo, Kisii, Luhya and Kamba communities," she added.

NASA has since planned a mega fundraiser for its supporters who were either killed or injured during the outfit's processions.

"On Friday we shall have a major fund raising for all the families," Wanga revealed.
