Mwingi Central MP Gideon Mulyungi has invited President Uhuru Kenyatta to his constituency.

Responding to the President’s New Year message, Mulyungi said that the speech was empty rhetoric full of lies. He challenged the Head of State to show tarmacked roads, employment opportunities and water supply that his constituents have enjoyed during Uhuru’s first term in office.

"None of this was evident in my constituency during Jubilee Party's first term in power. I am inviting the President to tour my constituency and show residents the massive development he claimed to have actualised across the nation," he said on Thursday as reported by the Star.

He challenged the President to initiate dialogue with opposition leaders instead of deceiving Kenyans.

"For the last five years, my constituency has not had even a single kilometer of tarmac or any mega projects,” he said.

His sentiments come after NASA renewed their swearing in plans and countrywide rallies starting this weekend.
