Osoro while speaking at Nyamarambe on Monday, said the government should allocate more funds to CDF kitty instead of conducting a referendum to make changes to the constitution.

He affirmed that students need more money so that they can continue with their learning in various schools, universities and colleges.

"I wish to urge the government to give more money to the MPs as CDF so that more students can benefit instead of wasting money to conduct a referendum to benefit one person who is seeking a post in the government,” Osoro said.

He added that his constituents will not participate in the referendum if the government decides to ago ahead with the referendum.

Osoro noted that ODM leader Raila Odinga is a respected leader who received an overwhelming support during the last year’s polls but unfortunately lost.

"Let him accept to retire because he has attained an age limit to vie for presidency. In face of this, constituents of South Mugirango won’t be part of the referendum if it finally comes," he said.
