Borabu MP Ben Momanyi has rubbished claims by Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi that a move by a section of Gusii MPs to form a unity block is a waste of time.
The lawmaker said Maangi should respect Kisii and Nyamira County elected MPs who were legally voted by electorates during the last year’s polls.
“Maangi should know he was not voted in by the people as most of us were elected. He only hided behind Governor James Ongwae who favored him and named him as a deputy governor otherwise he could be at home suffering after he started political prostitution when he joined Jubilee. Let him not oppose Gusii MPs decision to work together,” he said.
The Wiper party MP asked Maangi to forget succeeding Governor Ongwae since he lack enough support from Kisii county locals.
“2022 will come and will see Maangi losing terrible because he has no voice in Kisii County. Maang’a political selfishness will teach him a lesson as it happened to former Kisii senator aspirant Charles Nyachae,” he added.
He said Gusii MPs will not succumb to unnecessary attacks from Maangi and other local selfish politicians who are only interested in leadership yet they don’t have the support from the people.
