Mavoko MP Patrick Makau has rubbished media claims that NASA leader Raila Odinga might have given up the push for electoral reforms after he allegedly rejected a plan to have him sworn-in as president on Tuesday.According to Makau, Raila will not be stopped in the quest for good leadership and governance in the country.Addressing Mavoko Town residents on Sunday, the Wiper MP said there are many ways Raila and NASA will adopt to push their agenda forward."Our focus as NASA is not going to change because of Uhuru Kenyatta's swearing-in, we are determined to fight for what we believe is right" he said.Makau said that they (NASA) will not give Jubilee space to continue oppressing Kenyans.He said that Uhuru's Tuesday inauguration does not change the opposition plan and agenda for reforms.On Saturday during a mini-people's assembly meeting at Maanzoni lodge in Machakos , Raila is said to have rejected a plan by a section of NASA politicians to swear him in as their president.
The former Prime Minister is said to have rejected the plan citing his international image and fight for democrasy.Raila is said to have instead opted for the opposition push for vigorous economic boycott and intensified push for the people's assembly.The opposition leaders said that they recognize Raila Odinga and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka as the duly elected president and deputy president respectively.NASA says that it does not recognize Uhuru Kenyatta as president.Uhuru will be sworn-in on Tuesday at Kasarani stadium for a second term.The president says that he is ready to work with the opposition and also unite the country.
