Borabu MP Ben Momanyi has asked Deputy President William Ruto to forget the Gusii community’s support in 2022.
The vocal MP said even if Ruto makes tours monthly to Gusii region he will not get the support of the community in 2022 when he will be vying for presidency.
“As leaders from Gusii region we will not risk advising the community to vote for someone who has stolen public funds to enrich himself. Ruto should forget the Gusii community’s votes 2022,” he said.
Momanyi faulted former South Mugirango MP Omingo Magara for lying to DP Ruto that the community will rally behind him in 2022.
“Mr. Magara should stop misleading Ruto that the community will support him in 2022. Gusii region remains an opposition zone and come 2022 we will decide who to vote for but not Jubilee,” he said.
The MP urged Magara to concentrate on how he should clinch a political seat in 2022 after he lost the Kisii County senator seat in 2022.
He said Borabu constituents will not vote for any Jubilee candidate.
Momanyi was speaking on Saturday during the official opening of Nyakwerema Catholic church building.
