South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro now says Gusii region will have no otherwise other than supporting Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 ambitions.
Already, a section of coastal MPs allied to Raila Odinga have openly pledged to support Ruto's bid, a move that sparked fierce reaction from ODM party.
Speaking in Eldoret on Saurday, Osoro who accompanied Ruto, said his coalition boss, Raila Odinga has no alternative other than to support Ruto.
"I want t be frank that the country is now ripe for Ruto's leadership. He has proven so and I pledge him my support," he said.
He added: "It is time Raila joined this team for the property of this nation. If he fails to seize the opportunity, there will be massive exit from his base."
Last week, a host of MPs from Gusii region paid Ruto a courtesy call at his Karen home where they pledged him support.
Until now, details of Raila's working relationship with Jubilee remains scanty but sources say he will play an integral role as Kenya's special envoy.
