The MP affilaited to the opposition National Super Alliance said that he will be forced ta take the move due to infighting within the coalition.

Wamalwa faulted the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party for disrespecting Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula after his ouster as the Senate Minority leader.

According to Wamalwa, it was not right to have minority leaders in both the senate and national assembly to be ODM members.

Wamalwa, therefore, stated that he was willing to stand down in solidarity with Wetangula.

“If ODM does not want to respect Wetangula as a co-principal, then even me, I'm ready togive my seat. I'm ready to let go the seat if the marriage is not working. We cant have a leadership of NASA coalition where everybody is coming from the Lake,"Wamalwa stated in an interview with KTN News.

On Sunday, Wetangula stated that he was no longer interested in the minority after being replaced by Siaya senator Moses Wetangula.
