Makadara MP George Aladwa said on Saturday ODM lawmakers will not hesitate to end the 'marriage' if the former Prime Minister declares the union is no more.

He was speaking during a political talk show on Radio Jambo alongside Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura and rights activist Brian Weke.

"We (ODM MPs) are all in support of the golden handshake because we know its ultimate goal was to bring Kenyans together," he said.

"But if Raila said about-turn today we will all make an about-turn. He is our leader and we respect his decisions and directions," he added.

He cautioned elected leaders against misinforming Kenyans that the President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga unity is meant to benefit the two leaders personally and not Kenyans.

Uhuru on March 9 met Raila at the head of State's Harambee House office in Nairobi and speculations has been that the two leaders could be planning to work closely ahead of the 2022 general polls.

Raila and Uhuru deny the claims saying the meeting discussed ways of uniting Kenyans after a long divisive campaigning period.

Uhuru and Raila are expected to tour the country together.
