Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong’i has now urged the NASA coalition MPs to resign if they are not ready to work in the interest of the Kenyans who voted for them.
According to the MP, the NASA coalition legislators have planned to hinder the normal functioning of parliament by not submitting names to form house committees.
Speaking at his home on Wednesday evening, Tong'i dared those who don’t want to work for their voters to resign and allow for fresh nomination and elections in their constituencies respectively.
“NASA doesn't want the country to move on and they don’t want to accept the fact that they lost terribly in the recently concluded elections and if they don’t want the country to move on they should simply resign,” said Tong'i
The MP's remarks come a day after majority leader Aden Duale said the Jubilee coalition will go ahead and form parliamentary committees next week without NASA legislators if they fail to submit names of their members.
Senate speaker Ken Lusaka, however, confirmed receiving the names on Wednesday.
