At least four NASA legislators from the larger Gusii region will not be party to Raila Odinga's inauguration as people's president.
For weeks now, the four MPs have been leading internal rebellion arguing that the ceremony is unconstitutional.
"Uhuru Kenyatta remains the legally elected president and that is the bitter truth. Swearing-in is just inconsequential," said South Mugirango's Sylvanus Osoro.
And his West Mugirango counterpart Vincent Kemosi said: "We better accept that Uhuru is the president. Whatever NASA is trying to do will not change anything."
At a press conference few weeks ago, Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka dismissed the swearing-in plans terming them as 'illisiuons'.
"The fact is whether we like him or not, Uhuru is the president. I don't think something can change that," he said.
Similar sentiments have been echoed by Ben Momanyi of Borabu, who has been critical of Raila's leadership for many weeks now.
