Speaking in an interview on Citizen TV Thursday, Kirwa said that the remaining six contestants are just out to gain popularity maintaining that none of them stands any chance of carrying the day.
''Honestly speaking and without demeaning the other candidates, it is clear that the race is between Raila Odinga and President Kenyatta,'' said the former Cherangany lawmaker.
His comments were echoed by fellow panellist and Uasin Gishu county women representative candidate Gladys Boss Shollei who further maintained that the oncoming Presidential Debates should be only between the two because they are the most relevant with regards to the electorate.
She also opposed the recent withdrawal by the two from the debate saying that without them on the floor the entire exercise will be meaningless.
''The other contestants should be left out or be engaged is a separate debate because with all of them in the debate will become boring and overcrowded,'' said Shollei.
President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga have since withdrawn their participation saying that they were not consulted by the organizers.
