Bomet Governor and Chama Cha Mashinani leader Isacc Ruto has finally revealed the coalition he will back during the August General polls.
According to the outspoken governor, his party has been in talks with NASA because they have similar interests.
“Jubilee has said they do not want us or even hear anything about us, so we have been in talks with NASA which seems to pursue similar interests as that of our CCM party. Jubilee has sustained abuses and insults on other leaders hence making it hard to approach,” said Ruto.
He was speaking during an interview with vernacular Kalenjin radio station, Taach FM.
“NASA and CCM share similar ideologies. I have talked with NASA principals as I was sent by the elders. I will be reporting to them this week,” said the Bomet county boss.“We have bargained for what CCM will get in the NASA government, and we only need to agree and sign a memorandum of understanding," added Ruto.
During the Tuesday interview, Ruto reiterated that the Jubilee administration does not deserve a second term in office.
At the moment, there is a stalemate in NASA on who should be the flagbearer between Rails Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.
