A group of Jubilee leaders in the North Rift region have reiterated that repeat presidential elections must be held on October 26.
Led by Nandi Governor Stephen Sang, the leaders claimed the National Super Alliance (Nasa) under the leadership of Raila Odinga is not ready for the repeat poll.
Speaking at Mosiriot, Sunday, the leaders accused Odinga and the Nasa team of seeking to destabilise the country.
"NASA should be contended with the new elections date. They cannot stop the prosperity of this country no matter," noted Governor Sang.
"Our national economy is currently bad but they (Nasa) are taking us round circles hoping that this country will crumple," he added.
Similar sentiments were shared by other elected leaders among them Nandi Hills MP and his Kapseret counterpart Osca Sudi.
"As a country, we need to move forward. Raila Odinga and his Nasa team should stop putting this country in a state of panic because they are a complete failure," Sudi said.
Nasa has insisted that there will be no repeat Presidential election unless the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) agrees to make reforms to its systems as well as sending packing officials they claim bungled the August 8 poll.
