Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama has called for dissolving of the four National Super Alliance (NASA) parties.
Muthama says the parties – ODM, Ford Kenya, Amani National Congress and Wiper – should merge ahead of the August general election.
The member of NASA’s National Coordinating Committee said they should follow Jubilee’s example and fold the individual parties to ensure unity.
“I called for the making of CORD into a single party a year back, i hereby repeat that NASA should be united into one party,” the outspoken senator was quoted by the Standard.
He argued that the merger would stand a better chance of uniting Kenyans and will end tribalism.
The NASA parties have failed to agree on holding joint nominations.
The opposition coalition is also yet to name its presidential candidate to take on Jubilee’s Uhuru Kenyatta.
