Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot has questioned some of the evidence presented by the opposition alliance NASA in the presidential petition.

Speaking on KBC TV on Sunday, Cheruiyot alleged that some of the evidence presented by the alliance's lawyers, especially the unsigned form 34A's and B's might have been part of a long term plan to ensure that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election bid remains a dream.

The alliance in its presentations had maintained that some of the form 34A's and B's lacked watermarks with others being filed without the agent signatures.

The senator said that this was a technique employed by the block to justify its argument upon realizing that its presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga was losing.

''The NASA alliance seems to me to have instructed their agents to disappear and not sign the forms upon realizing that they were losing. They were obviously instructed to do that to ensure that the alliance gets an excuse to challenge President Kenyatta's win in court,'' he said wondering why most of the areas with unsigned forms are deemed to be the NASA’s bedrock.

He also took issue with the Supreme Court nullification of Kenyatta's re-election accusing it of going against the will of Kenyans.

''The court missed the point by judging the case on the basis of logistical issues the bottom line was the fact that President Kenyatta carried the day by around a million and a half votes and it should have been upheld,'' said Cheruiyot.
