Former National Assembly Deputy Speaker, Farah Maalim, will be Kenya's Speaker, if the National Super Alliance (Nasa) takes over from the ruling Jubilee government.

During the Nasa flag-bearer announcement rally at Uhuru Park, the Garissa Township parliamentary aspirant addressed a crowd, saying the next government would be a people's government.

"Order, Order, Order! I am Farah Maalim, your former Deputy Speaker. Nasa is going to create the next government. (Aden) Duale must go! Uhuru (Kenyatta) must go! (William) Ruto must go! Jubilee must go!'' Maalim said, as supporters chanted Nasa-support slogans, Thursday.

He is vying on a Wiper party ticket, to oust Aden Duale, who doubles up as the National Assembly Majority Leader. Duale seeks to defend the Garissa Township parliamentary seat, on a Jubilee party ticket, in the August 8, elections.

Standing to speak, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka clarified Maalim's utterances, saying his 'Order Order Order'' meant he was coming back as the National Assembly Speaker.

"As Wiper, we have equal share in Nasa, just like each of the other Nasa member parties. Farah came here saying Order Order Order, meaning he will be the Speaker. I know you didn't understand. I just want to let you know that we are all equal in Nasa, and each one of us has got equal share,'' Kalonzo said.

During the rally, ODM party leader Raila Odinga was named the Nasa presidential flag-bearer, deputised by Musyoka.

ANC's Musalia Mudavadi was named the Premiere Cabinet Secretary, deputised by Ford Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula and CCM party leader Isaac Ruto.
