The National Super Alliance (Nasa) led by Raila Odinga has been accused of plotting to take over Kenya’s leadership by force.
Former Kibwezi Member of Parliament Kalembe Ndile claims that the heckling of Deputy President William Ruto in Kisumu was a failed plan to cause chaos during the Jubilee leaders' tour.
The Star reports that Ndile said he feels the youths wanted police to fire back and shoot people so that the opposition could stage a massive demonstration.
He made the remarks at Lukore in Kwale last week when he led Kamba community elders in declaring support for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
This is despite Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta condemning the incident.
Raila, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader, said every politician has a right to campaign anywhere in the country.
The former Prime Minister said his team will accept results of a free, fair and credible poll.
Ndile said Nasa leaders had panicked ahead of the August 8 General Election.
"When you are playing football, there are some players who stage their fall so as to get a free penalty kick. That is Raila's trick," he said, as quoted by The Star.
