Opposition coalition NASA has rubbished Jubilee Party's manifesto launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto on Monday evening.
Speaking in during a press briefing, Kisumu Senator dismissed the manifesto as 'a hoax' accusing the Jubilee adminstration of failing to implement pledges made to Kenyans in the run up to the 2013 general elections.
The lawmaker warned that Kenyans will use the administration's scorecard to vote during the August polls, and not promissory notes by the ruling party.
“When there is a government, everyone knows its re-election will be determined by its record while in power,” he said.
Nyong'o further noted that President Kenyatta had failed to highlight how his government tackled graft and the ever growing cost of living.
"All the promises in their new manifesto end up highlighting what they failed to deliver," he said.
“I know that even die-hard Jubilee supporters are deeply aggrieved by the Jubilee record, ravaged as even they have been [also been affected by corruption]." He added.
