[Photo|ODM]The National Police Service has dismissed allegations by the NASA coalition that they used live bullets on their supporters during welcoming of Raila Odinga from the US, Friday. The incident turned chaotic after police disrupted it and hurled teargas canisters and used water cannons on NASA leaders and supporters from JKIA to the capital city.Odinga said police used live bullets and killed five of his supporters and injured several others."No live fire was used; only tear gas and water cannons were deployed for crowd control," said the police. They accused the supporters saying they were aware that sections of the mobs accompanying the NASA convoy, looted property and five persons were killed by stoning in different incidences after having been caught stealing by enraged crowds. "Two were stoned along Landies Road, two next to country bus station and one along Racecourse Road."Assistant Inspector General of Police George Kinoti said the incidences occurred before the police arrived at the various scenes. "All these incidences are under investigation," he said on Friday in a statement.
