A Nyamira County-based NASA politician has dismissed President Uhuru Kenyatta apology that he made during the State of the Nation address on Wednesday.
Victor Swanya said Uhuru’s apology should be ignored because it came late after several Kenyans especially NASA supporters lost their lives when they protested the decision by UhuRuto to impose themselves on the people of Kisii County.
“Uhuru could have apologized last year when several people died as he imposed himself on the people of Kenya. NASA supporters will not accept the fake apology by the Jubilee party leader,” he said.
The Wiper Party politicians faulted some politicians who have supported Uhuru’s apology.
“It is very inhumane for some politicians like South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro to be at the forefront supporting Uhuru’s State of the Nation address forgetting that children were killed by police under the leadership of Uhuru. We should not only be interested in leadership but instead ensure our people are safe because leadership comes from the people,” he added.
The vocal politician urged NASA supporters and leaders from Gusii region to distance themselves from UhuRuto.
