Wiper Party Deputy Party leader Farah Maalim on Monday said that the five relatives who were allegedly arrested by security officers over terror related claims in the Northern Kenya region are yet to be arraigned before any court and their whereabouts remains a mystery.
"Im missing five of my relatives as we speak at the moment. They are among the many civilians security officials picked up in parts of Northern Kenya over terror related links,however to date we don't know their whereabout," he told NTV AM live show.
The former National Assembly deputy speaker also lamented that security apparatus in Northern Kenya had resorted to torturing abd arbitrarily innocent civilians on flimsy grounds of being terrorist.
The former Lagdera MP told the police to produce his relatives as well as other innocent civilians who are under their custody unlawfully.
Police are however yet to comment or respond over the claims.
