National assembly leader of Majority Aden Duale has said that NASA presidential aspirant Raila Odinga's unnecessary demands to IEBC ahead of the repeat of presidential polls scheduled for October will not succeed to change the poll date.

According to the Garissa township MP, NASA's threats to boycott will have no impact in the repeat of polls and Kenyans will vote for their preferred candidate.

"Raila should know Kenyans will cast their ballots come the material day since God already knows who the president will be", said the vocal Jubilee MP.

He challenged the opposition leaders to make their threats a reality and boycott the polls sying election must go on as planned.

"NASA  threats to boycott the repeat poll will not yield anything because Kenyans know who they are going to elect. Elections must go on as planned," Duale said.

He expressed confidence that President Uhuru Kenyatta will be re-elected for the second term. He was speaking on Friday when he addressed mourners at Riokindo playground during the burial of former Bomachoge Borabu MP Joel Onyancha.
