Kakamega Senator Bony Khalwale has dismissed the recent opinion poll by Infotrack which placed Raila Odinga ahead of his NASA co-principals as unscientific.

The poll placed Raila's popularity in NASA at 68% while Moses Wetangula polled last at 3%.

Khalwale speaking on JKL show on Wednesday evening said the poll didn't even follow polling guidelines as stipulated in the polling law "which I am the father".

"I am the one who took the bill that created that law to parliament and I can tell you it was an unscientific poll. Infotrack should have before announcing the results as they did have told us who paid for the poll, what was the sample population and their education and generally the demographics of the sample population," said Khalwale.

He added: "Because they did not do all these we cannot authoritatively speak to it. But assuming it was scientific, what is wrong with Raila polling at 68% or Wetangula polling at 3%? If that is the finding of the people, they have spoken."

The Senator said that were the poll scientific, it would have helped him as a person being one of those sitting in the NASA national committee for identifying the flagbearer to make his decision.
