Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka was on the receiving end on Wednesday as NASA principals took their campaigns to the vote rich county.
The Jubilee point’s man is facing fierce rivalry from Wycliffe Wamangati and Alfred Khangati, both allied to the opposition outfit.
Led by Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi, the opposition leaders questioned benefits of Lusaka’s interaction with Jubilee regime to the Luhya community.
“The first enemy to chase out should be Lusaka because he is inviting those thieves to our territory all the times,” said Wetangula.
Mudavadi added: “You should not even give him another chance. He is a letdown to the Luhya community since he works with people who have done nothing to improve our lives.”
In our year’s time, Lusaka has been loyal to establishment and has often vowed to ensure he delivers for Jubilee administration.
Western region has been a traditional backyard of opposition politics and it will be interesting to study how it votes in these elections.
