An MP allied to the Jubilee party has taken a swipe at the National Super Alliance (Nasa)over their obsession with the outlawed Mingiki sect saying they have worse criminals than the sect members.
Gilgil MP Martha Wangari on Friday said that the Opposition coalition's supporters who have been holding demos in the country in a bid to force out a section of the IEBC's officials were no better criminals since they were stoning people and destroying properties.
"Your own supporters are no better than the Mungiki sect, they stone innocent people and destroy properties which is equally bad. And not every dreadlocked man out there is a member of the sect," she told Citizen TV.
Nasa has constantly linked a group calling itself The Nairobi Business Community to the Mungiki sect.
On Tuesday, ODM chairman John Mbadi accused the police of working in cahoots with the group to harm peaceful Nasa protestors, sentiments that the police has since refuted.
