Few days after the Opposition fully launched the National Super Alliance (Nasa) coalition, as their new political outfit to oust incumbent Jubilee government, they have planned for a major political rally.
One of the principal's Raila Odinga, said the rally will be at Eldoret's 64 Stadium, today (Saturday), in bid to popularise it.
''Together with the NASA brigade, we will be in Eldoret 64 Stadium, Eldoret, Saturday, February 25th for a public engagement with the people of Uasin Gishu County,'' Raila said.
Being at the heart of the country's bread basket, Raila said Nasa was alive to the issues affecting ordinary 'wananchi' including food prices and food accessibility all of which are driven by production.
''We seek to uproot the barriers to production as well as tackle the root cause of perennial drought in the country which has been the mismanagement of the natural resources of the nation,'' he added.
All the four principals including Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, and Musalia Mudavadi are expected at the event.
Nasa's rally in Eldoret poses as a threat to Jubilee's support in the region. Deputy president William Ruto hails from the region, and the rally would likely compromise his popularity from the larger Rift Valley region.
