Tana River Governor Hussein Dado has pleaded with residents to endorse his re-election bid in the August 8 general election.
Dado said that he has fulfilled 80 per cent of the development promises he made to in 2013.In an interview with the Standard, the county boss said he needs another term in office to complete the projects his administration has initiated.He stated that his government has championed the interests of locals through quality service delivery in the last four years.“I am pleading with residents to give me another term to complete the development projects I have initiated,” said Dado, as quoted by the Standard.The governor cited heath, education, youth empowerment and infrastructure as the key areas where his administration has delivered.He also said his government has prudently utilized the money given to it by the national government to initiate projects.“Tana River County has not been mentioned in any corruption scandal or procurement irregularities for the last four years as the case has been in other counties across the country,” he said.Dado who ditched Wiper party and joined President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party asked residents to ignore critics questioning his development agenda.He said his competitors are envious of his development track record and want to pull him down through propaganda.
