Reading a statement in Nairobi today, Dr. David Ndii has insisted that the swearing-in of Raila Odinga scheduled for January 30 is on course.

''The National Super Alliance wishes to make the following pronouncements with regard to the much-anticipated swearing-in of its leaders Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka as the duly elected president and deputy president of the Republic of Kenya respectively. We wish to assure all our supporters and all interested parties that the swearing-in is on as announced earlier and all arrangements are in place to make it the most significant event our citizens have ever organised for themselves,'' the statement read.

Dr. Ndii, in the statement, reiterated the NASA position that Uhuru's presidency is illegitimate, saying that it was not a culmination of the will of the people.

The quest to swear-in Raila Odinga was characterised as a quest to reclaim the dignity of the Kenyan people.

''We wish to reiterate that the swearing-in is a reclamation of the NASA presidential victory of August 8, 2017, which by the act of annulling the Uhuru Kenyatta victory, the Supreme Court handed. If Uhuru's election was null and void, it stands to reason that that election was won by someone else and that person is Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka,'' Dr. Ndii said.

The statement comes in the context of great uncertainty on the January 30 swearing-in, given the postponements that have occurred in the past.
