The National Super Alliance (Nasa), now says Thirdway presidential candidate, Dr Ekuru Aukot, has been sponsored by President Uhuru Kenyatta, to participate in the fresh October 26 presidential poll.
NASA said on Twitter, that Aukot, who is in the race for State House, met Kenyatta's emissaries, Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia and his Narok counterpart Samuel Ole Tunai, at Palacina, in Nairobi, on Friday October 13.
During the meeting, NASA said "Aukot received millions to persuade him not to quit so as to avoid further stalemate."
"The meeting between Ekuru, Kimemia and Tunai was at Palacina, owned by Kenyattas. Jubilee gave him finances for his campaigns," NASA added, Monday.
In coming weeks the Raila Odinga-led coalition said Kenyans will see a financially re-energised Ekuru.
"He was broke ahead of August 8, but is now loaded courtesy of Jubilee Party."
According to the coalition, Ekuru who was demanding for reforms at the IEBC after High Court allowed him to vie, met the said persons, and he now wants elections without reforms.
"After the Palacina meeting with Uhuru's envoys, Ekuru immediately changed tone. He now wants elections even without reforms."
Over the weekend, Aukot said he was satisfied with the IEBC's preparations for the elections, and that he was ready to participate.
