National Supper Alliance (NASA) co-principal Musalia Mudavadi has claimed that the Jubilee government is mounting pressure on NASA governors who lost in the just-concluded August 8 General Election to concede defeat.

The ANC leader has said that the leaders are forced to conceed despite contesting the election results.

The Amani National Congress (ANC) Party leader has also claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s handlers are allegedly threatening the outgoing governors with tax evasion cases and business closure.

Mudavadi has cited Nairobi, Machakos, Narok, Marsabit and Garissa Counties as some of the counties.

“The most disturbing feature of this arbitrary political pressure is that it involves threats and intimidation particularly by waving the specter of prosecution, unwarranted and excessive tax evasion assessments and demands, and interference with legitimate business or other enterprises,” read the statement from the opposition coalition.

Further, NASA alleges that NASA candidates who won parliamentary seats are also been compelled to pronounce their willingness to co-operate and work closely with the Jubilee regime.
