Opposition outfit NASA will ensure all polling stations are monitored by super agents and results relayed immediately it is announced in August polls, says Salim Lone.

On Thursday, the opposition team suffered a setback when Appellate judges dismissed an earlier ruling by High Court that had declared tendering of ballot papers to a Dubai based company as illegal.

And having ruled out options of appealing in the Supreme Court, NASA will now concentrate on ensuring all polling stations are monitored to curb rigging.

“We do not have intentions of appealing and IEBC is at liberty to continue with their dirty tricks. We have done enough and this is time that we concentrate on other issues.

“Our polling agents will ensure results are transmitted in time to avert any rigging plans by IEBC. These elections must transform the country,” he said.

The ruling comes months after IEBC suffered a setback following the declaration of the court that results announced at constituency level are final.

Dubbed as ‘Adopt polling station’, the strategy will see five people facilitated by the opposition team to oversee elections at the polling station.
