The opposition National Super Alliance has given an update on the ongoing product boycott.

National Assembly Minority whip Junet Mohamed told the Star, however, that the campaign is still on.

“The products boycott is ongoing. It’s very successful. The companies are suffering in silence,” he said on the phone.

Speaking on Saturday, NASA leader Raila Odinga said that the opposition is set to escalate the economic boycott in the near future.

“We’ll escalate the economic boycott until this regime goes down,” he said.

Raila did not name the firms NASA will target next.

“We live in a rogue state. A state that’s now killing its own innocent people,” Raila said at the burial of Collins Owino in Sidindi village, Ugunja, Siaya.

Owino was killed by police during Raila’s reception two weeks ago.

Currently, NASA has urged supporters to boycott services and products of Safaricom, Brookside and Bidco.

According to NASA, the firms are friendly to the government and boycotting products will force jaubilee regime to implment NASA demands.

NASA is calling for electoral system reforms.
