ODM Secretary General Agnes Zani has said that the National Super Alliance will empower the Maa community if elected.

Zani said that the alliance will economically and socially empower the community and all others facing marginalisation.

Zani issued a statement on Monday in response to claims that his party leader Raila Odinga incited the Maa on Friday last week.

Raila was quoted telling the Maasai community not to sell their ancestral land.

"No amount of twisting words will negate this noble intention. Many other communities including those in the Coast need empowerment, something the government has not been able to do," said Zani.
