The opposition coalition Members of Parliament and senators will not take part in debating a bill seeking to amend election laws just 15 days to elections.
Makueni Senator Mutula Junior has said their decision leaves the matter in the hands of Kenyans as it contravenes the law having both houses simultaneously discuss one bill.
The National assembly minority leader John Mbadi said there will be no participation from the minority side as the bill is injurious to democracy.
"These are dangerous amendments that this country can not accept.Kenyans are aware that the contents are unconstitutional," said Mr Mbadi.
Mr Mbasi added that the parliamentary processes as stands now does not follow standing order provisions terming move by Jubilee as criminal for forming a one side committee to transact business both at the senate.
The group has held that they will not legitimize the amendments on the floor of the house.
Mr Mbadi noted that the law requires that the senate and the national assembly work separately on bills so as one house watches on the other.
He urged the speakers of the house not to allow what he termed as a coup staged among the legislators.
"Any committee existing today are in our view illegal and they should stop operations forthwith. Our members have been withdrawn from the debate in either houses," siad Mr Mbadi.
He said the bill is likely to pass even without their presence given the Jubilee numbers in the houses saying not only the contents but also procedure shall render the outcome unlawful.
He said the legislators from the NASA coalition affiliate parties will not be allowed to participate in the proceeds of both the senate and the national assembly.
