A senator allied to the National Super Alliance (NASA) now wants the two feuding political parties in the country to embrace dialogue in a bid to resolve the current election impasse.Speaking during an interview on Citizen TV, Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina called upon President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga to dialogue over the matter noting that their constant feud was sending the wrong signal to the country."If we are not careful we will steer this country to a big crisis. My appeal to my party leader Raila and President Uhuru is for them to sit down and address this contentious issue once and for all because their constant bickering is not helping much. Already we can feel the effects of this situation and it's not the best,” he said.Ole Kina added that the country risked being divided right down the middle should the two leaders fail to resolve the matter.NASA has maintained that the October 26 polls will not take place until their demands are met while their Jubilee counterparts have stood their ground that the elections have to go on as directed by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).Among the demands NASA wants the poll agency to address is the resignation of a section of the commission's staff whom they accuse of bungling the nullified August 8 polls. They have since resorted to street protests in a bid to eject the officials, a move the Narok Senator says he supports.
