According to the Orange Democratic Party (ODM) spokesman Philip Etale, the lawmakers have agreed to fully back the peace agreement made between Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta on March 9.

''NASA Senators have unanimously endorsed the memorandum signed between President @UKenyatta and the People's President and have supported it fully,'' said Etale in a tweet Thursday.

The agreement, however, remains the alliance's toughest test, with the coalition top brass remaining divided on the issue.

On one side is the former Premier and his ODM party and on the opposing side are his Amani National Congress (ANC), Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) and Ford Kenya counterparts; Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula respectively, who are yet to approve the agreement.

The trio has hit out at Odinga's quarters, accusing him of belittling them and their blocs.

They have cried foul over his move to single handedly seal the deal, without their consent, despite co-founding the bloc.

In retaliation, they have embarked on a push for another dialogue with the president, stressing on the need for a more inclusive and structured conversation.
